Opening Day Delayed to Saturday Dec 5th

November 26, 2020 Posted by Mike Edwards

We have a good base of snow,  things are currently looking pretty white, and some people are already skiing and snowshoeing.  However, the base is too thin for us to do regular grooming of the trails without damaging them and making them unsafe. We  just need one more good snowfall and we’ll be ready to open.

We are therefore delaying our opening by one week to Saturday Dec 5th.  Skiing and snowshoeing are possible right now but grooming will be limited and we will not have rentals or day passes available until Dec 5th.

Telemark has Snow! Anticipated opening Saturday Nov 28

November 13, 2020 Posted by Mike Edwards

We received two good snowfalls this week and we will be starting to pack the trails and do our final preparations for the coming winter.  There is not enough snow yet to open officially but if this cool and snowy weather holds we anticipate being open and ready for member and public skiing by Saturday Nov 28th.

Thanks for a Successful Ski Swap and Work Party Weekend

November 2, 2020 Posted by Mike Edwards

Last weekend was a busy one for Telemark! We held our annual work party… and… we hosted our annual ski swap. By all accounts both were successful.

More than 50  volunteers were at Telemark for the work party on Saturday to help us get ready for the coming winter.  Lots of great projects got done… from firewood splitting to painting from ski rack building to trail work and more.

The annual Telemark ski swap on Sunday just about sold out of equipment and was successful in raising over $2000 for our Team Telemark racing program. The Kelowna Cycle  parking lot was a great venue especially with perfect weather.

A huge THANK YOU to all the Club volunteers  who made these events successful.
