Biathlon BC Championships – Thank-you
The Telemark Nordic Club would like to thank the volunteers, parents, spectators, staff, members, first aid team, race committee and competitors for making this weekend’s event a big success. It was great to see athletes from the USA competing, as well as our very own Telemark Biathlon Team. We will see you again next year! Click here for a Global News article about the competition.
Chalet Expansion Project
Our club is growing. In an effort to manage our growth, your Board of Directors is exploring options to expand our chalet and remodel the buildings in the vicinity of the stadium. Telemark members are invited to participate in the project. We are looking for your ideas and suggestions on the following topics:
1) Chalet Expansion
• How can we expand our building to accommodate the needs of our growing membership (e.g. wax room, rentals, eating area)?
2) Site Plan (stadium area)
• We currently have several external buildings (e.g. washrooms, storage shed, Quonset hut) on site. Are they meeting the needs of the club? Are we missing anything?
3) Fundraising
• The size and scope of the project will be determined by available fundraising resources. Please share your ideas on how we can generate financial capital for the project.
Action: we encourage you to write your ideas on the Ideas Board that is posted in the chalet. The poster board will remain up until the end of the season. The Telemark Executive will collate your ideas in the off-season and present options to the membership at the Annual General Meeting in October.
