Our club is growing. In an effort to manage our growth, your Board of Directors is exploring options to expand our chalet and remodel the buildings in the vicinity of the stadium. Telemark members are invited to participate in the project. We are looking for your ideas and suggestions on the following topics:
1) Chalet Expansion
• How can we expand our building to accommodate the needs of our growing membership (e.g. wax room, rentals, eating area)?
2) Site Plan (stadium area)
• We currently have several external buildings (e.g. washrooms, storage shed, Quonset hut) on site. Are they meeting the needs of the club? Are we missing anything?
3) Fundraising
• The size and scope of the project will be determined by available fundraising resources. Please share your ideas on how we can generate financial capital for the project.
Action: we encourage you to write your ideas on the Ideas Board that is posted in the chalet. The poster board will remain up until the end of the season. The Telemark Executive will collate your ideas in the off-season and present options to the membership at the Annual General Meeting in October.

Dear Telemark Board of Directors,
If there’s an interest in building, I’d like to suggest a warming hut at the trail junction of Telemark and Panorama or Fern Creek and High Country. Here skiers and snowshoers could eat their lunch while resting with friends and then carrying on.
On a day to day basis I don’t see the need for a larger chalet because very few people are ever in there. During loppets or biathlons perhaps added space could be found in the Quonset Hut or in a larger heated rental tent.
The present waxing area is perfect. I wax my skis every month and welcome the fresh air – considering the fumes that are given off.
I think the Telemark Nordic Club is perfect as it is and am grateful to everyone who contribute to keeping it that way.
Sincerely, Dave Sherman
