Moose on Trail
The Telemark Nordic Club encompasses just under 3000 acres (1364 hectares) located in mixed forest, there are 115km of trails and is surrounded by crown land. The diverse geography with streams, wetlands, forests and grassland is a sanctuary for many animal species. It is common to see animals on our trails. Click here to see a list of species on our property.
Most common is the moose. A moose is generally docile. If you are lucky enough to see one, give it a wide berth, and enjoy the view. If carnivores are seen on the property the location and time is posted on our trail board at the entrance to the trails, and on our website. Such sightings are infrequent.
